Whose Perception is Reality?

We see the world not as it is, but as we are.*

Do you ever wonder why your co-workers see things so differently than you do? And why some individuals just ‘get to you’? Do you sometimes think “that person needs a reality check?”

Come explore these questions as we examine the concept of perception. We will look at the origins of your perceptions and the factors that continue to contribute to your perceptions.  Using the Ladder of Preference, we will see how quickly we reach decisions... and how different these decisions can be for individuals with the same data.

After this workshop, you will:

  • Understand your co-workers diverse views
  • Appreciate how diverse views add to, rather than detract from, the team experience
  • Be more accepting of the varying realities within your work environment

The 'I' in TEAM
In our personal and professional lives we are all members of various groups and teams.  As team members, it can sometimes be difficult to collaborate on tasks while maintaining our own identity. Also cultivating harmonious relationships with other team members can occasionally be challenging. How do we achieve a balance?

There are several basic principles that allow each individual to become a more effective and productive team member. This workshop examines an individual’s role in team development and explores the elements of effective teams, including how each member can balance the ‘I’ in ‘Team’.

After the workshop, you will:

  • Understand how strong teams are developed
  • Possess strategies for improving your contributions to the team
  • Know how to achieve harmony between your needs and the needs of the team
